Our goal is to keep costs down while providing the highest quality surgical care to our patients.

  • Thorough examination with discussion of recommended diagnostics, treatments, and costs

  • Recommended diagnostics may include in house or send out blood work, x-rays, or ultrasound with Queen City Veterinary Internal Medicine (QCVIM). A full consultation with QCVIM may also be recommended.

  • At VSV we know unexpected costs can be frustrating for owners. This why we strive to be transparent about costs. This is also why we provide all-inclusive pricing for as many surgical procedures as we can. Please see below for more details.

    All-inclusive pricing includes a consultation, preop diagnostics, anesthesia, surgery, immediate post op care, and standard follow up visits. Biopsy, culture, and stone analysis cost is not covered in all inclusive pricing.

    All-inclusive pricing covers only expected recovery and does not cover the cost of complications.

*All inclusive pricing cannot be provided for all procedures. In these cases a general estimate will be provided.

*Due to the increased risks asosciated with the care for brachycephalic breeds, and costs associated with mitigating these risks (oxygen supplementation, medications, dedicated staff attention), all brachycephalic patients undergoing surgery at VSV will inur an additional $500 charge.

For all-inclusive pricing procedures, payment is due prior to surgery.

For non-all-inclusive pricing procedures, a deposit is required prior to surgery. The remainder is due at the time of discharge.
